Mac is survived by daughters Nicole and Simone, who reside in Chicago, and his nephew and niece in Manila, Dr. Greg Anthony Patriarca and Delma Patriarca, his Orendain siblings Joan, Jane, and Chippy, and his loyal caregiver Gina Lagustan. He was the son of Johnny and Louise Orendain, both writers. He lies in state at the Loyola Memorial Chapels in Sucat and will be laid to rest on Sunday morning at 9:00 a.m. after the mass.
