Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, mother-in-law, sister, auntie, godmother passed away Monday, February 10, 2025 at 2:53 pm from complications of several health issues. Catalina is survived by her two daughters Nerissa del Rosario and Joy Diaz, along with her son-in-law Miguel Diaz, Sr., her grandchildren Gabrielle Vaz, Miguel Diaz, Jr.,

Marina Diaz, and Maximus Diaz.
Baby was born in Pampanga, Philippines on July 12, 1938. She is the 12th child of Albino Cruz Zabala and Simplicia Santos Dizon. Baby was a posthumous child. Her father died at age 42 of a heart attack when her mom was two months pregnant with her. Now, she will meet her dad and will have a lot of catching up to do. Baby met her husband Luth at Philippine College of Commerce after getting their Associate degrees and pursued her Bachelor’s Degree at Far Eastern University, majoring

in Accounting.
In the Philippines, Baby worked as a Secretary at Procter and Gamble, Wyeth and Suaco Pharma, and lastly, at Central Bank,

On January 31, 1976, the family migrated to the USA. She wanted the family to have a better life. She worked at Crocker Bank, Southern Pacific, San Francisco Chronicle, and Aflac. Baby was a very loving, kind, generous, ambitious, intelligent, firecracker, silly, unforgettable and a woman of strength and character. She was regarded as a best friend, big sister and a confidant.

Baby was active in Cursillo and the Legionary, Praesidium Our Lady Cause of Our Joy, at St. Augustine Church on Callan Blvd., South San Francisco, CA.
